Kelly Ripa

Kelly Ripa is a television producer and actress who was born October 2, 1970. Ripa is best known for her role in the ABC soap opera All My Children and the ABC sitcom Hope & Faith. She has also been co-hosting "Live With Kelly & Ryan" which is a daily talk show in the morning since 2001. Ripa and her partner Mark Consuelos own a production firm in New York called Milojo. Kelly Maria Ripa is the daughter of Esther Ripa of Joseph Ripa who was a bus driver union president. She was born in and was raised in Berlin, New Jersey. Linda Ripa, Ripa's sister is the author of books for children. Ripa is a Catholic, and her father has been the Democratic County Clerk of Camden County in New Jersey since 2009. She's also the first in her family to enter the acting business. As a young girl, she began studying ballet. She is also a piano player. Ripa completed her studies at Eastern Regional High in New Jersey and was also the cheerleader. The drama instructor at high school encouraged her to study acting. In her senior year, she was spotted while performing the role of "The Ugly Duckling" at a local theatre production. After graduating in Camden County College, she took a psychology course. The college dropped her and moved towards New York City and pursue a career in acting.
